If Australia votes Yes for marriage equality some politicians will try to weaken anti-discrimination laws to allow married LGBTI people to be refused services or sacked from their jobs.

Please send this letter to all federal politicians who support marriage equality. They need to know there can be no compromise on equality.

    Dear Members of Parliament,

    Yours sincerely,

I urge you not to support amendments to marriage equality legislation that will allow further discrimination against same-sex or other couples.   The Marriage Act already provides an exemption for Ministers of Religion so they are not forced to marry couples against their religious values.   Further exemptions will undermine anti-discrimination law, perpetuate a second-class status for LGBTI Australians and erode the clear boundary between civil and religious marriage.   When I voted Yes for marriage equality I voted for all married couples to be treated the same under the law.

    Best wishes,
